Looking to improve yourself this off-season? Here are a couple books that I would suggest for you to read to get the most out of your time off!

Good to Great by Jim Collins

Good to Great is one of my favorite books! After you get past the first chapter and all the stats, you learn a lot about what it takes as a level 5 leader and the people you "hire" or the players you have. One of the biggest things I took from this book is that if you have the right people on the bus, you don't have to motivate them. They will already be self-motivated to do well! All you have to do is get the right people on the bus and then put them in right seats. Lots of great things out of this book!

The Slight Edge

by Jeff Olson

The Slight Edge is one of the first books I read when I was looking to improve myself! One of the biggest things I took away from this book is that everything that you do compounds overtime. Consistent deliberate disciplines over time equals success. "What is easy to do, is also easy not to do." Olson explains that our life is on a curve and what we do overtime will determine how the curve will spike. Interesting book, can get a little repetitive but a good read!

I hope these books will help you in your off-season planning!
